Question about Bonus Mission skill. Help? - Guild Wars Forums

I'm kinda new to GW, I have a Ritualist. I'm stuck in Cantha (can't beat Tahnakai temple mission, no matter what I do). I think I will never get my Signet of spirits lol. There's an other one, Call to the Spirit Realm available in GW Bonus Mission. If I buy that, can I unlock this skill for my Canthan Ritualist? Or I can only use Call to the Spirit Realm in Bonus Mission? =( Thanks in advance.

You can only use Bonus Mission skills in the Bonus Missions, cause you arent playing as your character.

Make sure you're in a busy district (e.g. America). Ask if anyone is willing to help you get through the mission, and if so party with them. Make sure they understand that you've had trouble getting through it before. You should definitely take a support role - throw up whatever spirits you have available to you, and (depending on your secondary profession) heal, interrupt, etc.

The mission itself is not very hard if you're careful - several of the groups are actually multiple mobs that can be pulled with a longbow or flatbow - but it's easy to get caught and wiped. It can be pretty tricky to get Masters, but you should be able to complete the mission. Later on you can come back and spirit spam your way to Masters.

Try joining a "Helpful" guild in Kaineng or Shing Jea, I see them spamming a lot when I go to those places.

If not if I remember correctly the most damage in that mission is by the AoE spells the Temple Guardians use, if your going with just henchmen you'll probably need to flag them away from because they are pretty stupid and will just stand there. Although enemies scatter if you do it to them, unfair? Yes!

tahnakai is the test of what you've learned so far. i strongly suggest to play it with friends of henchmen, not random people.

Two of the biggest problems with doing Tahnakai Temple with H/H is Mehnlo and Togo. I know, they're supposed to be helpful healer types but that doesn't usually work out. If you try to post your henchmen back and pull, then these two follow you in and take aggro instead of staying back. It's difficult, especially for a new player. If you have heroes available you can use one of those to pull for you.

You can unlock SoS before you can capture it by gaining Balthazar faction and unlocking it for your account, then using a tome to unlock it for this specific character. You can get Balthazar faction playing the Zaishen challenges in Battle Isles without ever really engaging in PvP, or you can join Random Arenas or Alliance Battles and gain Balthazar Faction that way.
